The Reject

This poem is dedicated to a reject
A reject everyone went against
He had no friends
His family shunned him long ago
He was lonely
Solitary.
Dead to the world
He wished to have not been born into the world
However he was still there
Alone
Solitary.
Dead to the world
He wished to be dead
However he was still alive
And desolate
Solitary.
Dead to the world
He wished to be accepted
However he was still rejected
And he couldn’t take being
Solitary.
Dead to the world
He took a rope
And wrapped one end
To his neck
Wrapped another end
To a post outside his window
He stepped out
Held his breath
And jumped
His body hung lifelessly
From his window
For the whole world to see
The people around him stared
And gazed in awe
But the stares and gazes quickly dispersed
And it was just a body left hanging
A body of a reject
Lonely
Alone
Desolate
Solitary.
Solitary.
Solitary.
And still dead to the world.
